Treatment of tenosynovitis
Tenosynovitis is a condition where the sheath around the tendons becomes inflamed. The causes of tenosynovitis include overuse, injury, infection or strain, although sometimes the cause is unknown. Symptoms of tenosynovitis can include difficulty when moving the joint, shooting pain in the arm, reddening along the affected tendon, as well as swelling, pain and stiffness in the joint. The most common forms of tenosynovitis are trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis) and De Quervain's tenosynovitis.
