Medical qualifications

Prof Bloom qualified from the Bristol Medical School in 1984 before undertaking further Research at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Western Eye Hospital, Imperial College London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. Prof Bloom was awarded a Glaucoma Fellowship to the Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital in 1995.

Medical Experience and Training

Prof Bloom specialises in cataracts and spectacle independence alongside medical, laser and surgical therapy for glaucoma. He currently sees patients privately at the Western Eye Hospital, the Wellington Hospital and the Lister Hospitals, London. Prof Bloom is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and an Honorary Professor in cataracts and glaucoma at Middlesex University Private Practice.
