Mr William Bartlett is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with specialist interests in Hip and Knee Surgery. Studied at University College London and Kings College London, and on the St Bartholomews Hospital Surgical rotation. Conducted research into repairing damaged cartilage within the knee using cells grown in the laboratory. Since becoming a Consultant Mr Bartlett has visited leading Surgical centres in Europe and the United states in order to learn new surgical techniques which he can now offer his to patients. Mr Bartletts NHS practice involves all aspects of hip and knee surgery and is based at the Whittington Hospital, London. He treats a wide variety of patients ranging from teenagers to nonagenarians with lifestyles ranging from sedentary to former Olympians. As many of his patients are young and active adults, his practice has developed using predominately modern, high performing joint replacements that allow a closer return to normal function and hold the potential to outlast traditional replacements. His specific interests include performing joint replacement surgery using minimally invasive techniques, computer guided surgery, and custom made bespoke prostheses. He is dedicated to facilitating easier and earlier patient recovery following surgery and uses a combination of surgical and anaesthetic techniques to allow patients to go home quickly. He lives in London with his wife and three children.
