Mr Tim O'Brien, Consultant Urological Surgeon

Medical Qualifications

Mr Tim O’Brien graduated with a Bachelors degree in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge before qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Oxford in 1986. His subsequent higher surgical training was undertaken at hospitals in Leicester, London and Oxford and he has received Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology).

Medical Experience and Training

Mr O’Brien has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon since 1999 and has been integral to the development of a urology centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Hospital, London. In 2009 he was awarded the Karl-Storz gold cystoscope by the British Association of Urological Surgeons for his contribution to urology over his ten years in practice.

His specialist interests include kidney cancer, including partial nephrectomy, and bladder cancer, using blue light cystoscopy treatment. He is currently the Chairman of the Section of Oncology Executive Committee of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and is available to treat patients at London Bridge Urology.
