Medical Qualifications
Mr Giuseppe Kito Fusai qualified in 1987 with honours from the University of Milan, Italy. He undertook general surgical training in Italy and was awarded with a Master of Surgery degree from the University of Parma in 1992. He moved to the UK in 1995 and a year later was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Medical Experience
Mr Fusai has worked in several Centres of Excellence in the UK and abroad, including the world famous cholangiocarcinoma centre, Nagoya University Hospital in Japan.
He is currently a Consultant Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Liver Unit at the Royal Free Hospital, London. This is one of only two Liver Transplant Units in London and is one of the most prestigious centres in Europe for the treatment of liver and pancreatic cancers with approximately 300 major surgical procedures carried out every year.
Mr Fusai has a particular clinical interest in liver metastases, pancreatic cancer, cancer of the bile duct and advanced disease. He often provides expert second or third opinions and treats patients from overseas who have been deemed untreatable.
