Medical Qualifications

Mr Asif Haq graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and went on to receive Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, General Surgery.

Medical Experience

Mr Haq was awarded the Sir Ian Todd Fellowship for Research and the New York Travelling Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons. He went on to be awarded two national and international Laparoscopic Fellowships.

Mr Haq is a Consultant at King's College Hospital and King's Academic Health Partners in London. He specialises in laparoscopic and robotic surgery and has expertise in the treatment of bowel cancer, constipation, rectal bleeding, haemorrhoids, anal fistulae, rectal prolapse, inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), complex pilonidal sinus and diverticular disease. He also has expertise in revision abdominal surgery, particularly incisional hernia repairs and abdominal wall reconstruction. He is able to repair simple hernias using the latest techniques and meshes to minimise pain and scarring.
