Treatment of osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a condition in which the bones lose their density making them more prone to breaks and fragility fractures. Osteoporosis is often not diagnosed until a fracture occurs after a minor fall. Osteoporosis may also cause a fracture in the vertebrae without a fall causing a stooped posture, back pain and problems with breathing. Exercise and a healthy diet, with a focus on vitamin D and calcium, can help prevent osteoporosis.
