Medical Qualifications

Mr Alwyn Abraham qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1996 and undertook further Registrar training in Newcastle and Middlesborough. Following this Mr Abraham was awarded a Senior Fellowship in Children's Orthopaedic Surgery, Booth Hall Children's Hospital, Manchester.

Medical Experience

Mr Abraham is involved in a number of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training schemes. He has an energetic involvement in education and research alongside his busy clinical practice. He can offer a tertiary referral service for complex limb injuries, bone infection, limb deformity correction and children's orthopaedics. His specialist interests range from skeletal dysplasia and cerebral palsy, to the Ilizarov technique for correcting limb deformity and fractures.

He is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the Nuffield Hospital, Leicester and the Northampton General Hospital and is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer for the University of Leicester.
