Medical Qualifications

Professor Richard Green qualified with a Medical Degree from John Hopkins University, USA. After completion of his medical and psychiatric training Prof Green went on to receive a Law Degree from Yale University, USA.

Medical Experience and Training

Prof Green's previous medical and academic appointments include Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA and a member of the Faculty of Law, University of California, Los Angeles and Faculty of Law, Cambridge University.

He is currently Visiting Professor for the Imperial College London Faculty of Medicine and an Affiliated Lecturer for the University of Cambridge Social and Developmental Psychology Department.

Prof Green has a particular interest in atypical and typical sexual behaviour. He specialises in the treatment of gender identity disorder in children and transsexualism in adults, for which he has treated more than a thousand patients.
