Medical Qualifications

Mr Paul Hegarty qualified in MB BCh BAO from the National University of Ireland, Cork. He subsequently was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Urology) and gained his Master’s of Medical Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He has received an MCh from University College Dublin and an MBA in Life Sciences from Open University Business School. Mr Hegarty has been awarded the Fellowship in Andrological Reconstruction from University College London alongside the Fellowship in Urologic Oncology from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, Houston, USA.

Medical Experience and Training

He is currently a Consultant Urologic Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Trust and the London Bridge Hospital. He has treated hundreds of patients with penile prosthetics, arificial urinary sphincters and male slings. His particular areas of interest include bladder and penile cancer as well as penile straightening and reconstruction.
