Medical Qualifications

Dr Simon Wilson qualified in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Chemical Pathology from Leeds University before going on to graduate with a Masters degree in Philosophical Issues in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Honours degree; also from Leeds University. Dr Wilson received Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London in 1999 and went on to be awarded Fellowship of the college in 2010.

Medical Experience and Training

Dr Wilson trained in psychiatry at the prestigious Maudsley Hospital, following this he went on to work as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at HM Prison Brixton and then returned to the Maudsley Hospital as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. He has many years' experience in managing the most complex psychiatric and psychological conditions.

His specialist interests include general adult psychiatry alongside forensic psychiatry and he specialises in the treatment of anxiety, bereavement, behavioural problems, depression, jealousy, persistent complainants, personality disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia and stalking.

Dr Wilson is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, London and currently treats patients at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, London, and his private practice, the Sloane Court Clinic, London. The Sloane Court Clinic includes a range of expert psychiatrists and psychologists who take a collaborative approach to patient management, being able to call on one another's expertise to provide the highest quality treatment.
