Dr Brian Clapp, Consultant Cardiologist
Medical Qualifications
Dr Brian Clapp qualified from Cambridge University and University College London medical schools. Following research into the links between various inflammatory processes and heart disease, he was awarded a further doctorate (PhD).
Medical Experience and Training
Dr Clapp is currently a senior Consultant Cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and Cardiac Screen Ltd. He is one of a few highly experienced consultants to have worked at London's leading cardiology units including The Heart and The London Chest hospitals. At these hospitals Dr Clapp had a particular involvement with the latest interventional cardiology and other coronary procedures. He has a special interest in hypertension, ischaemic heat disease, stroke prevention (including divers), percutaneous coronary intervention and the closure of atrial defects.
