Medical Qualifications

Mr Andrew John Timperley qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Manchester. He went on to be awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a DPhil from Oxford University.

Medical Experience

Mr Timperley was Elected Member of Council of the British Orthopaedic Association and was also a Member of the Research Committee and Professional Practice Committee, 2009–2011. He is currently Treasurer of the British Orthopaedic Association and President-Elect of the British Hip Society.

Mr Timperley is Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Exeter and Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Orthopaedic Biomechanics at the University of Bath. He is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Lister Hospital, London, where he is available for private patients.

Mr Timperley specialises in primary, complex primary and revision hip replacements, however, he is available to treat all diseases of the hip.
